Founder
David Reichert
David Reichert is a German born rider, trainer, and coach with decades of experience in Dressage and Jumping. He has trained and coached riders through international Grand Prix competition and championship events.
He founded UDJC to make equestrian sport more accessible, affordable, and focused on education. His philosophy combines correct riding, horsemanship, and progressive development so riders understand both the skill and the reason behind it.

Sammy Cook
Sammy Cook is an experienced trainer and coach and the founder of Redbird Sporthorses. She has worked with riders of all ages across recreational and competitive goals.
A supporter of UDJC since its founding, Sammy leads the first official UDJC Equestrian Center with an approach grounded in clear communication, thoughtful progression, and a genuine connection with riders.

Sarah Dahlberg
Sarah Dahlberg has more than 15 years of experience in the horse world, first riding and competing in her youth, and later reconnecting with horses as an adult. Sharing her love of horses with her daughter, also a rider, has deepened her appreciation for the confidence, responsibility, and connection horses can bring to kids and families.
With a background in marketing and live event management, and as founder of Canter Culture Riding Apparel, Dahlberg brings experience in community building and program development to UDJC Equestrian Center Austin. Her goal is to help create a welcoming equestrian community built around strong education, meaningful experiences, and a lasting love of horses.

The UDJC Educational Ecosystem was built to give riders the kind of complete education traditionally associated with the highest levels of the sport, while making that standard accessible from the very beginning.
At UDJC Equestrian Center Austin, riders develop through a structured system that connects riding skills, horsemanship, horse care, welfare, theory, and competition rather than treating them as separate parts of the sport. Every lesson, educational milestone, and competition experience is designed to build on what came before it. Riders learn not only how to ride, but how to understand the horse beneath them, make thoughtful decisions, recognize correct training, care for their equine partners, and develop the knowledge expected of capable horsemen and horsewomen.
That education does not stop at the barn. As riders progress into UDJC competitions, the same principles follow them into the show ring. UDJC’s competition system is designed to reinforce education through clear standards, meaningful judge feedback, progressive opportunities, and an environment where competition becomes another part of the learning process rather than simply the final result.
From a rider’s first lesson with us to their rounds in the UDJC show ring, every part of the experience belongs to one connected system of development. The result is a rider who is not simply prepared to move up a level, but prepared to move forward in the sport with the skill, knowledge, horsemanship, and judgment to do it well.
